The middle school years are a turning point for students. There are new freedoms, responsibilities, growth spurts, and emotional learning.  If you are looking for ways to connect with a middle school reader in your life, or are looking for a way to grow conversations about everyday social thinking young teens need today.

On July 1st,  I was on The Morning Blend sharing my new book, Seeing Eye to Eye (book number two; a follow up to Between the Lines).  The story continues with the same cast of characters, but this time, the boys take center stage as they prepare for a pivotal summer right before high school.

August 7th, we talked about, "What parents need to know about middle school".  This conversation was designed to provide strategies to help families navigate this pivotal time in one's educational journey.

On August 18th, we talked about friendship and the middle school years.  During the young teen years, parents are not scheduling playdates, but still play an active roll in help young teens navigate positive friendships.

On October 7th, I talked with Molly about social thinking, and ways to increase perspective taking.  Social thinking is a life long skill, and middle school is a great time to start.

Be sure to turn in.
